Isle of devils: A visual exploration of Bermuda’s marine natural history
Mentor: Jeff Warren
How does story shape place? As human impact on natural environments increase, the way we value and communicate about them become increasingly important to ensure their ability to thrive. For my keystone I created a series of artwork considering Bermuda’s marine ecosystems and their history of human interaction. I use art as a tool for inquiry and expression to explore and discuss the impact of Bermuda’s current narrative. Drawing upon the field of ecology, history and phenomenology, I explore the multifaceted issues surrounding the conservation of Bermuda’s marine ecosystems and species.
