Exploring the Relationship between Personality and Academic Performance at a Small Liberal Arts University.
Mentor: Dr. Maï Yasué
What makes a university student successful? Personality has been widely accepted as a predictor of academic performance in secondary and post-secondary education, yet this research has primarily been conducted at large, traditional universities. My research seeks to uncover the factors that contribute to students’ success at small liberal arts universities with alternative pedagogical models. In my presentation I will talk about why I am relieved that a global pandemic cancelled the keystone symposium, what it’s like to live inside the brain of a highly neurotic individual, and the original research I conducted on personality and academic performance at Quest University.

Quest University Canada is suspending regular academic programming following
completion of the current academic year in April 2023.
