The Vulva: A Fantastic and Fickle Body Part

How do vulvas respond? My Keystone presentation first outlines the history which led to the disappearance of the clitoris from academic discourse, and then argues how this has impacted the way people with vulvas receive medical treatment today. My Keystone, an educational picture book researched and written to inspire and empower children and adults to advocate for body autonomy in medical settings, sexual spheres, and beyond – was created in this context. I reflect on the importance of bringing forward these amazing body parts, before presenting components of this book.
