Darcy Otto, The Nature of Virtue
What is the nature of virtue? This is a central concern of ethics, but we often shy away from discussing moral virtue, thinking that there is either no such thing, or that it is impossible to define, or that it cannot be known. In this talk, we shall consider a couple of candidate answers to this question, and discuss the strengths and weaknesses of each. We shall also consider the extent to which whether the virtuous life overlaps with the good life.
