What was your Question?
What influences our decisions?

Tell us a bit about your keystone project. What was the best thing about the process?
I tested the applicability of several Strategic Management frameworks in aiding and supplementing upper-management decisions by conducting a case study on a smaller scale company.

What did you do for your Experiential Learning Block?
I was an intern at Sustainable Solutions International, learning the ins and outs of the business.

Did you take a field course? If so, tell us about it.
Nope, but I went on a semester exchange Zeppelin University if that counts.

What are some of the concentration courses you took?

  • Microeconomics
  • Macroeconomics
  • Behavioural Economics
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Happiness, Gratitude, and Resilience
  • Poverty, Inequality, and Development

What are you up to now?
I’ve been hired by KPMG as a Staff Accountant, and I’m going to be starting this fall and the hope is to attain my CPA designation in the near future. I’m currently at UBC, graduating from my post-graduate diploma in Accounting this May.

How do you feel Quest prepared you for your current endeavours?
I learned how to manage a heavy workload because of Quest and it has only helped me with my studies as I transitioned to a more “traditional” university. Quest also played a significant role in helping me develop and nourish my soft skills; allowing me to convey information effectively, and create and build new relationships easily.

Do you have a favourite “Quest moment”? A great memory of something that wouldn’t have happened at most other universities?
Going on an exchange to Zeppelin University.

Playing in the “Kermode Kave” was an unbelievable experience. The atmosphere was phenomenal and the energy was unmatched, especially in my first two years there. There was no gym quite like it.
