Fall 2023 application deadlines

Early Action Deadline | December 1

Regular Application Deadline | February 15

After February 15, we continue to process applications on a rolling basis until the class is full.

  1. Start
    1. Our 2023 Fall Term and Spring Term applications are now open! Click below to start your application.
    2. Quest Application

*An application fee is required: $75 for Canadian students and $150 for international students

  2. Log in
    1. After submitting the Quest application form you will receive an email with login information for SquareOne, Quest’s applicant dashboard. SquareOne is where you can upload documents and forms, pay your application fee, and monitor your application status. It’s also where admission and financial aid decisions will be released.
      1. Required documents:
        1. High school or university transcript: An official copy of your most recent transcript or report card. International (outside of Canada and the U.S.) and transfer students (outside of British Columbia) are required to submit additional documents through WES (World Education Services) for evaluation. Please follow this link to have your transcript(s) evaluated by WES.
        2. Long and short essay: Quest’s program is writing-intensive, and the application essays are our window into how you communicate your ideas with the written word. Submissions are evaluated for originality, structure and flow, and language and mechanics.
        3. Financial aid application form: All applicants must either complete this form or opt-out of both need-based bursaries and merit-based scholarships.
        4. English language proficiency test scores (if required — check here for language testing policies)
      2. Optional documents:
        1. An original piece of work that demonstrates your individual interests and abilities, such as an artistic portfolio, video statement, or research project
        2. SAT/ACT test scores
        3. Reference letters from educators or community members
        4. Your professional resume or CV
        5. An additional written piece (e.g. an assignment prepared for class)
    2. *Please note that an application is not considered complete until all required documents are shown as received (with a green check mark) in SquareOne.
  3. Interview
    1. Once you have submitted all required documents, your Admissions Counsellor will review your application. Selected students will be contacted for an interview which can take place in person, by phone, or by video call. Once your interview is done, your application is complete and will be sent for admissions review.
  4. Admit
    1. Admissions decisions will be released through your application status page on SquareOne.  If you’re accepted, congratulations! There’s no place like Quest.
  5. Deposit
    1. If admitted, your next step is to confirm your enrolment with a deposit. The deposit is $1000 CDN for Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and U.S. citizens, and $17,500 CDN for international students with citizenship outside of Canada and the U.S. Please ensure you have your nine-digit student number ready when you pay. If you are unsure about your student number, contact your Admissions Counsellor or email the admissions office. Enrolment confirmation payments are due May 1. Please note that this deposit is non-refundable but will be credited to your student account.
    2. Deferral Policy: Admitted students wishing to defer their start date may apply for deferral. Deferred admissions offers must be held by the standard enrolment deposit (see above). Any applicable entry scholarships will defer with the offer of admission, but bursaries must be re-applied for and are not guaranteed.
