I am a chemist with a broad range of interests: from theory to experiment to pedagogy.
I have studied chemical systems from the industrial scale to the atomic scale. Experimentally, I have worked on complex solid-liquid systems, solution systems, and gas-phase systems in addition to optimizing chemical processes for industry. The chemical contexts have ranged from surfactant systems to renewable energy systems to atmospheric reactions.
My theoretical interests relate to exploring the physical principles that underpin chemical interactions, particularly intermolecular interactions. Theoretical exploration also allows me to present basic chemical concepts to the classroom in novel ways.
