A performance of new music for soprano saxophone with live biofeedback electronics. Free and open to the public.
Anabolism is a composition of electroacoustic biofeedback music by composer/performer Andrew Raffo Dewar for synthesizer-based live electronics and soprano saxophone. The piece translates the performer’s sound, brainwaves and muscle movements into signals that affect the live electronics. In this way, the music is partly generated and manipulated through biofeedback processes largely outside the performers’ control. A performance and discussion of just how this happens.
