“Where are you from?” As someone who identifies as mixed raced and transnational I question the meaning of ‘belonging’ and ‘home.’ My keystone explores my connection to the five coastal places I have lived through poetry. I found myself curious on how seaweed in the costal places I call home is prominent in my past, present and future. My presentation aims to educate and connect to anyone who has pondered where they are from, and what is home. Through a spoken word format my presentation aims to convey the meaning I have found in my homes and how to give back to my homes through seaweed as well as the power I have found in being transnational and multiracial.
