What Stories do Genes Tell? Our fascination with genes dates back centuries, but the journey of
modern genetics and medicine truly began with Gregor Mendel’s discovery of the laws of
inheritance and, later, the structure of DNA that carries our genetic information. Scientists have
since been captivated by unravelling the mysteries of genetic diversity. In this presentation, I
share my foray into genetic research and the vital perspectives I gained along the way. By the
end of this presentation, you will have gained a better understanding of the creative and
