The Implementation of Outdoor Education into the BC PHE Curriculum
Mentor: Tanjeem Azad

This Keystone presentation has been created in regards to Outdoor Education (OE) and its exclusion from British Columbia (B.C.) Physical health and education (PHE) curriculum. It pertains to the Question “How Can The Outdoor World Benefit Us?” Students when they enter into 7th grade are given less free time and recess. For many students this can be a huge shock from what they were used to in Elementary school. With this loss of freetime and recess also comes less time for students to be outside learning from the land and experiences. Outdoor Education needs to be included in the B.C. PHE. curriculum.

Quest University Canada is suspending regular academic programming following
completion of the current academic year in April 2023.
