What fermented beverages attract slugs and how do we find out what compounds in them attract slugs? Rooted in home gardens, my keystone presentation explores the topic of slug management. I identify slugs as a problem for gardeners and how the current pesticides in being used industrially are not applicable to home gardens. I propose an alternative of a big trap utilizing fermented beverages as our active ingredient. The product of this research is a proposal to investigate the problem further in the hopes that we can create a cost-effective bait trap for home gardeners.
