Corruption and fraud in the Philippines, Can technology provide a better, corruption free future in the Philippines? The Philippines, throughout history has been riddled with corruption and fraud. In my keystone presentation, I discuss the role of biometric technology as a tool to effectively eliminate fraudulent voting on a ground level. Biometrics entails technology which utilizes unique human traits such as fingerprints. This technology ensures authenticity and identification. Still a small solution to a part of a larger problem, full implementation could have massive positive collateral impact not only in the Philippines but in other developing nations as well.
