How can visual storytelling affect change? A few years ago, the topic of “GMOs” seemed to dominate discussions around food and sustainability. Despite a broad scientific consensus that the technology of modifying the genetics of plants was no more riskier than conventional plant breeding, there was and still remains a large amount of misinformation and distrust around “GMOs”. I crowdfunded, produced and edited an independent and science-based film which attempted to provide a more nuanced and evidence-based perspective on how this is a technology that we should challenge our biases on and embrace when appropriate.
