| How can art elevate science? This Keystone explores the intersection of art and science and how the practice of art and science in tandem creates a more inclusive, better educated community. First, I will discuss a common modality in science communication: the infographic, and how it fosters curiosity and engagement in an accessible way. Second, I will discuss a less common modality, fine art, and how the process not only fosters good scientific practice, but how artistry can advantage those with alternate skill sets. I argue that art making presents an entry point for broader engagement in the sciences. |
