Natural vs. Unnatural: An Exploration into Western Concepts of Nature

| Inspired by my lifelong desire to be among nature, I began to ask what makes it valuable and worth protecting. Today, I will speak to my own journey with regard to how I see the planet. Here, I showcase some photos from my own photography exhibit and explain how they illustrate some of the narratives I resonate with that I have come across during my research. Given the knowledge that I have gained, I will say why environmental protection is still important, but why it is a complex issue and must be viewed holistically. |
