Integrating Outdoor Learning into the B.C. Curriculum

| How can we strengthen children’s connection to ecosystems through education? This Keystone was produced in an effort to provide B.C. educators with a resource for integrating outdoor learning into the B.C. curriculum. In this presentation, I provide the context for why education is important in a time of global environmental crisis and justify outdoor and environmental education as a means of inspiring youth into pro-environmental behavior and environmental stewardship. Finally, I end with an example of a lesson plan I created to provide B.C. educators with a structured way for getting their students out into the environment. |
