How can a Discrete Choice Experiment improve research methods of the Placebo by Proxy effect?
Mentor: Dr. Thor Veen
| How can a Discrete Choice Experiment improve research on the Placebo by Proxy effect? Since 2011, the Placebo by Proxy effect has been studied with limited success. The field has six studies, each of which highlight methodological issues that have yet to be solved. Looking outside of the discipline, I propose utilizing Discrete Choice Experiments – created by behavioral economists to study and quantify decision making – to overcome the limitations that restricted previous research. I hope to show an example of an interdisciplinary solution to a problem in one discipline. |
