Jasmine has spent her career in both academia and communications. She was Deputy Executive Director of Global Green USA, Mikhail Gorbachev’s environmental and arms control movement, where she oversaw communications and development. While at Global Green, she spearheaded a campaign that increased donations and sponsorships, and directed a major branding, marketing, and outreach initiative that helped launch the organization into its second decade.
Previously, she served as the Director of External Communications at the Pacific Council on International Policy (the West Coast arm of the Council of Foreign Relations), where she developed a five-year communications strategy, developed new print and digital materials, helped overhaul and manage the website, and instituted protocols to streamline operations, from media relations to publications.
She also spent three years as a writer and team manager at the Capital Group Companies, one of the world’s largest mutual-fund managers, and for the past decade has freelanced as a communications & marketing consultant, writer, and editor. Throughout her career, Jasmine has remained active in academia, teaching courses in Writing, History, and International Affairs at USC, Claremont McKenna, and Quest, where she spent five years as a Visiting Tutor.
