Abstract: This paper presents a study of the growing debate surrounding intellectual property law in the light of political leaders publicizing the need to reform IP laws. Sherman explores the two sides of this debate by examining the implications of minimizing IP law in favor of developing other financial incentives for creativity, or strengthening current IP protections by expanding laws and increasing enforcement.
