12 / STUDENT EVENTS

Each year, Quest students take it upon themselves to coordinate some amazing community based events on campus. Dancing Bear Music Festival, an annual end of year celebration, is a day full of music, face painting, food, and dancing.  What makes this and other events so incredible, is they are entirely student-funded and organized. The students put in a lot of work to ensure the events are successful; they manage all aspects of these events including advertising, coordinating volunteers, schedules, rentals, set-up, and break-down to ensure events run smoothly.

Cabaret, another annual event, celebrates arts and culture on campus and each year students, faculty, and staff come together for an art show and to watch live performance pieces by students (including music, spoken word, and theatre). To see some photos from this event, check out our student Josie’s photo collection.

Without the initiative of the student community, special events like Dancing Bear, Cabaret, Naked, Polaris, movie screenings, and political forums wouldn’t take place. These are wonderful experiences that encourage community-building and provide an opportunity for students to express and showcase themselves through art, dance, spoken word, song, or other performance means. We can’t wait to see what new traditions you bring to the Quest campus community!
