Quest’s Chief Academic Officer Doug Munroe will be moderating an All Candidates Meeting municipal election event at Brennan Park Recreation Centre on Monday, October 1.

Hosted by the Squamish Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Tourism Squamish, Squamish Arts Council and the Squamish Chief, the meeting will include a panel with representatives from each of the partner organizations asking council and mayoral candidates questions on business, economic development, tourism, arts & culture, and all things Squamish.

There will also be an open mic for audience Q&A for mayoral candidates, and a separate audience Q&A with council candidates.

The event is free and open to the public. Please consider arriving early, as seating and parking are limited. The ACM will start promptly at 6 pm sharp.

At Quest, Doug teaches Global Perspectives, The Politics of Cyberspace, Peacebuilding, Gender/Politics, Comparative Political Institutions, Canadian Political Strategy, and Topics in Security Studies. His research interests include security policy, terrorism and counterterrorism, intelligence studies, political violence, and strategic studies. He holds a PhD in military and strategic studies from the University of Calgary.
