Join us for the fourth annual Power, Race and Privilege Symposium, a QUSA-supported student initiative that aims to foster critical awareness and dialogue about the dynamics of racial oppression and inequality.

Featuring a panel discussion, interactive session and keynote speaker, the Symposium offers an unparalleled opportunity to learn from a wide range of scholars and activists and deepen our understanding of the ways that power and marginalization function both on the Quest campus and beyond.

Keynote speaker: Julia Serano

Julia Serano is the author of three books, Whipping Girl: A Transsexual Woman on Sexism and the Scapegoating of Femininity (now in second edition); Excluded: Making Feminist and Queer Movements More Inclusive; and Outspoken: A Decade of Transgender Activism and Trans Feminism.

Location: Quest University, MPR
Cost: Free and open to the public
