Library Lecture Series with Doug Munroe and Kaija Belfry Munroe

It’s election time again, and power in Ottawa could well be up for grabs. As in the US, Canadians’ political opinions have become more polarized in recent years. While American elections tend to be very predictable, Canadian elections are anything but!

In this talk, we will explain how our electoral rules, parliamentary democracy, and political culture interact to make Canadian elections unpredictable and exciting, and offer our tips about what to watch as we get closer to Election Day on October 21, 2019.

This event is free and open to the public.
