In this talk, James explores how our beliefs about creativity often prevent us from developing it. Blending insights from theatre practice, dramatic literature and contemporary science, this talk will offer the audience both theoretical insight and practical advice that anyone can use to become more creative and productive in daily and professional life.
About the speaker:
Dr James McKinnon came to Quest in 2018 after a distinguished career in New Zealand at Victoria University of Wellington. As a member of VUW’s Theatre Programme, James won several teaching excellence awards, including the National Tertiary Teaching Excellence Award in 2017. He is a also Senior Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy.
