Hometown: Penticton, BC
I first came across Quest in 2012 while attending a presentation at my high school. Originally, I had planned to enlist in the Canadian Armed Forces and attend the Royal Military College of Canada in Kingston, Ontario, but I fell in love with Quest’s unique academic model. What I enjoyed most about the university is the ability to self-design your degree. You can discover what you are truly passionate about.
As a student, I was very involved in Student Life. I was the Minister of Finance for the Students’ Representative Council, started the first campus radio station, and organized the annual Dancing Bear Music & Arts Festival on campus.
After living for a year in Quebec working as an English Language Teaching Assistant, I decided that I didn’t like snow as much as I thought. I returned to BC and began to work at Quest as an Admissions Counsellor in June of 2018.
Best thing about living in Squamish:
Small-town feel, but close to the city when you need it. I love that Squamish has everything I need, but is so close to Vancouver that I can make a day trip for anything else. Oh! And the mountains. Those are pretty good, too!
