Jacy is a critical feminist psychologist and historian of psychology. In both her research and teaching, she explores the methods used in psychology and asks questions such as, “How does psychology go about producing knowledge, about whom, and with what consequences?” Jacy’s research is eclectic and wide-ranging, and includes topics as diverse as questionnaires, intelligence testing, gender, mindfulness, sexual harassment, child study, pedagogy, and evolutionary ideas in psychology.
After earning her PhD, Jacy headed to the UK for a two-year position as a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada funded postdoctoral fellow at the University of Surrey. Before joining Quest, she taught a variety of psychology courses at the University of Winnipeg.
