About the Office of the President

The President is the Chief Executive Officer of the University, who supervises and directs the operation of the University in a manner consistent with policies established by the Board of Governors. The President submits financial and educational plans to the Board, makes recommendations to the Board concerning employment matters, establishes committees as necessary, performs other executive duties as set forth by the Board, and, in consultation with the Academic Council, sets the criteria for academic standards, curriculum, recognizing academic excellence, and the granting of scholarships, bursaries, awards, and academic degrees or certificates. The President sets policy on other academic matters as designated by the Board. Members of the Executive team, including the VP & Chief Academic Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and VP of Development & Alumni Relations, support the President in the fulfilment of these obligations.
