Tim Schoahs
Tim’s career seems to oscillate between travel and education, sometimes combining both (e.g. leading 40 students on a 30-day cycling odyssey from Paris to Prague). Having worked as a cycling guide in Europe, India and Vietnam, followed by operating a rafting & sea kayaking expedition company in BC, Tim eventually joined Capilano University’s Tourism and Outdoor Recreation program as an industry liaison. Here he was tasked with connecting students with ‘real world’ practicum and employment opportunities. This led to many interesting projects including the chance to work with the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, linking students with employment at the Games.
In 2012, Tim joined Quest and worked for six years in the Registrar’s Office, helping the university grow from 200 to 700 students. After a brief break running expeditions to Antarctica and the Arctic, he is back at Quest in the Financial Aid Office, excited to be on campus working with the students, staff and faculty that make Quest the amazing place it is.
