Deidre is a highly motivated professional with 30 years of experience who has worked in non-profit, higher education, and tourism. She is passionate about engaging with community members, helping others, and making people feel welcomed.

While working in the Tourism Industry Deidre worked as the Senior Visitor Counsellor at the Squamish Chamber of Commerce and Information Centre. She was a Liaison for the Tourism Members of the Chamber of Commerce . She coordinated a Chamber of Commerce Familiarization Tour of Squamish with Chamber Tourism Members aimed towards hosting Tour operators, Travel agents and Travel media from the lower Mainland and the Sunshine Coast in an effort to create awareness of Squamish as tourist destination.

Deidre went on to work at Tourism Whistler-The Telus Conference Centre, where she worked in the Distribution department working closely with the Conference Sales department as well as the Leisure and Sales department.

Deidre has been a part of many Non-Profit Programs, one of the Programs she holds dear to her heart is the Howe Sound Women Centre where the Centre was an integral part of her life as a young single mother 35 years ago. To 20 years later she had come full circle serving on the Board of Directors and serving as the President of the same Women Centre.

Deidre has worked as an Administrative Assistant for the last 12 years at Quest University, her responsibilities consists of being the initial front-line contact between Quest University and its students, employees, business associates, and visitors, in addition to the general public. Deidre has always maintained that this position is not just a job to her but a rather a connection she treasures with the students who she says keeps her young at heart. An example is that she has been to every Graduation including the original inaugural class of 2008, and she is looking forward to continuing that tradition.

In her free time, she enjoys reading, riding bicycle and walking in the beautiful Sea to Sky Corridor, she also loves spending time with her friends and family especially her 5 grandchildren.

Quest University Canada is suspending regular academic programming following
completion of the current academic year in April 2023.
