Dream, Girl: Female Entrepreneurship Documentary & Panel

A documentary highlighting women who are leaders in businesses ranging from brand-new start-ups to million-dollar industries; these stories will inspire the next generation of leaders. The screening will be followed by an informal panel of local women, including:

Tsawaysia Spukwus, whose English name is known as Alice Guss, is a Squamish Nation member, born and raised in Squamish, British Columbia, Canada. She is a mother of three childer who is strong, committed, and active in the preservation of her Culture and Heritage. Tsawaysia participates in all aspects of First Nations culture, language, community, governance, education, traditional art forms, healing, recreation, singing, drumming, dancing and storytelling.

Catherine Rockandel, a certified professional facilitator and head of Rockandel & Associates, a company which conducts facilitation, community engagement, strategic planning for industry, government, Indigenous People, NGOs, and the non-profit sector.

Sonia Sidhu is the creator of Mohini, an online rental platform for Indian outfits that is revolutionizing the way we shop for special occasions.

Kim Stegeman-Lowe is the CEO of Squamish Terminals, which efficiently handles cargo bound for North America and around the world.

This event is made possible by executive film producer Cheryl Wheeler, a Whistler-based artist and entrepreneur. All proceeds will benefit the Howe Sound Women’s Centre in Squamish.
