Serving the Sea-to-Sky Corridor Through Mathematics
Presented by Dr. Richard Hoshino, Mathematics tutor at Quest University Canada
Richard has a passion for applying his mathematical problem-solving skills to serve our community, especially when it involves the remarkable young people attending Quest.
In this talk, he’ll share with you some of the projects that his students have implemented to serve the local community, including an activity timetabling program for the Britannia Mine Museum, and an automated shift scheduler for employees at the Zephyr Cafe.
Please note: this series will take place on the second Wednesday of each month, beginning October 11.
